It does! My favorites are leather bound books. The look, feel and even the smell of a book bound in leather creates a sense of timeless value…almost transporting one in time to another era.
My car has vegan leather. I wonder if it can be worked just as regular leather can?
Yes! Leather bound books are a treat for the senses. Not sure how workable vegan leather is (you can't wet-shape it, for example). And there's debate on how green vegan leather actually is anyway (petroleum-based; not recyclable). But there is something else on the horizon - I'm sure you've heard about "mushroom leather." Made from mycelium, it shows great promise in being a greener option to both real and synthetic leathers. And it looks like in can be worked much like animal leather!
