I trust you had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. Yes, this applies specifically to those in the US. But if you are elsewhere, I hope you still had a day full of gratitude surrounded by those you love. ~JRC
Thanks - what a simple word. What a powerful word. When wielded genuinely and from the heart, saying "thanks" connects us as few other words do.
I want to share my gratitude today in this short holiday post. It warms my heart knowing so many of you take the time each week to read along. I feel connected to you through these essays, and it keeps me creative and ready for more.
So thank you. For being here. And for all the other wonderful things you do in this world.
Connecting with family, friends, coworkers, a friendly server, barista, or bartender - even strangers - human interactions make life worth living. Even in the virtual world, here, over wire and wifi, we still touch one another. And special times like now are beautiful opportunities to show sincere appreciation to all who do.
There's a verse in Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World that comes to mind as I write:
I see friends shaking hands
Saying how do you do
They're really saying
I love you
I believe a sincere thank you says the same thing.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. And thank you again.

Thank you J. Robert…your writing always inspires. As does your design for Pachelbel. Happy Thanksgiving! 😊
