The K.I.S.S. method - Keep It Simple, Smarty - is just as it sounds: don’t over complicate things. Overly complex, ornate, or embellished scenarios invite failure. But keeping decisions, plans, actions, or executions as bare-bones as possible often creates opportunity for success.
K.I.S.S. is a way to get things right.
Now, for those familiar with the K.I.S.S. method, you'll likely observe a small lexiconic change I've made. It's regularly described as "Keep It Simple, Stupid." But we don't say "stupid" in our household; frankly, it's mean, so "Smarty" seems a kinder way of putting it. (And if you are willing to accept the K.I.S.S. method, I'd say that's not stupid at all, so there.)
Anyway, K.I.S.S. is never more applicable than it is when making.
