I’ll be out of the shop for a few days, and away from the keyboard. It’s time to finally test the new mini camper, so I am headed up to some nearby mountains to put it through its paces (and to get some fresh air).
I’ll be testing the trailer’s handling, taking it on a few curvy mountain roads, and a bit of freeway driving. I’ll also be living in it, and hopefully living it up. The plan is to push the setup from top to bottom and see how the equipment and sleeping system handles it all. It’ll be pretty warm, so I will also see how comfortable my new rig is under less-than-desirable conditions. (I prefer fall and winter camping, but a day camping any season is better than, well, almost anything.)
Anyway, I’ll report back once I return. And when I do I’ll share a few modifications I’ve made since first unveiling the camper here at JRC-Makes.
As always, thanks for reading. And thanks greatly to all the paying subscribers who make this newsletter (and my making adventures) possible.
Until next time.

Great pic John!
Fabulous! Having seen the progress from "skeleton" to near finished camper, I'm excited to see it finished and on the road. I hope everything works well and I look forward to reading your review and report.
Safe travels!
